Care instructions for alpaca socks and sweaters

If you can bear to be parted from your socks and sweaters for 24 hours this is how to wash them.

We have found that alpaca socks wash beautifully and there is no shrinkage at all. We have socks that have been worn and washed for three years and they are still perfect.
It is not heat that will ruin your alpaca goods but agitation, this is why it is imperative to do them on a WOOL CYCLE ONLY in your machine. Because we know how well they wash we do not refund customers who manage to shrink their socks as we know they have made an error and put them on the wrong wash programme!

Wash on a 30/40°C wool cycle.
Wash dark colours separately.
Reshape while damp.
Do not bleach.
Dry naturally - they do take 24 hours to air dry properly - not on direct heat such as a radiator or aga.
DO NOT TUMBLE DRY
Wash in a net bag or pillow case.

We can supply a net sock bag which is very handy for keeping alpaca socks separate, ensuring they don't go in the normal wash. These bags are particularly usefull for tiny children's socks that go in the wash as a pair but only seem to come back out as singles! One of life's little phenomenons!

Care instructions for Alpaca scarves, wraps and gloves

Wash on a 30°C wool cycle.
Wash inside a net bag or pillow case.
Wash dark colours separately.
Can be hand washed in tepid water/short spin.
Reshape while damp.
Dry flat not near direct heat (not on a radiator).
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Use a warm iron on 2 dots.
Can be dry cleaned.
All items benefit from being washed in a net bag or pillow case.

Wash on a wool cycle in the machine.
Wash inside a pillow case or net bag unless machine is full.
Wash dark colours seperately.
Can be handwashed in tepid water with a very short spin.
Reshape while damp.
Dry flat not near direct heat.
DO NOT TUMBLE DRY
Can be steam ironed (that's what we've been told!)
With the loose weave scarf take care not to snag it - they are delicate.
